Welcome to the Whidbey Island Chapter, NSDAR

Whidbey Island Chapter,
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR),

Serving the Whidbey Island Community since 1994

Welcome to the Whidbey Island Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. We are a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s service organization dedicated to preserving the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American independence.
In honoring the faith and traditions of our founders, we are reminded of the importance of love and acceptance. We gather together in friendship, reinforcing that the strength of our society lies in our acceptance of diverse opinions. We are here to support one another, uplift one another, and embrace the differences that make us unique.

We invite you to join us as we continue our legacy of
women in service and leadership on Whidbey Island.

From 1920 to 1922, an all-woman cohort of council members and a mayor governed the town of Langley on Whidbey Island, Washington. Langley has the distinction of being the second town in the United States to elect an all-woman administration.

The Whidbey Island Chapter of the NSDAR honors the pioneering women who governed Langley 100 years ago along with all women who are blazing new trails across Washington and around the world.
