DAR Resources

A popular starting point is the DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS). This free resource is provided by the National Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).

Additional resources provided by the DAR include the Genealogical Research Committee Index (GRC), a searchable index of names that appear in various records within the DAR collection.
The Patriot Records Index is a great tool for assistance researching American Revolutionary Patriots

People of Color
A largely overlooked population may descend from A Patriot of Color. This valuable tool may help to unlock previously unknown family histories. Another tool designated to African American and American Indian Patriots is a downloadable PDF booklet detailing service, sources and studies for African American and American Indian patriots.
